FAQ CGDI MLB Tool:

1. What key need to work with, and is it picky about keys?
Answer: Original factory keys or aftermarket keys that use the original factory protocol. CGDI will also release MQB/MLB keys.

2. Does it support other manufacturers' transponder keys?
Answer: It supports keys from other manufacturers that use the original factory protocol. Keys that do not use the original factory protocol are not supported.

3. Is it only for add key, and does it require soldering to read the original vehicle key?
Answer: It's for add key. If you don't have a solder-free adapter, you will need to solder wires. With a solder-free adapter, you just remove the key circuit board and place it on the adapter.

4. Can this complete key data reading and programming as a standalone device?
Answer: It requires server-side calculation and an internet connection.

5. Are there any prerequisites for reading data, such as needing credits or a dedicated transponder key?
Answer: One free calculation per day. It also supports free calculations using CGDI universal key credits.

6. Is there an annual fee?
Answer: No.

7. Can this be connected to a laptop?
Answer: It can be connected to a computer or used together with the K2.

8. Supported vehicle models and key types?
Answer: Currently supports MLB and MQB48.

9. Does it support "all keys lost" (MLB/MQB48)?
