    The function of the NXP KILLER is to "crack" the chip's encryption. It bypasses the chip's protection mechanism to directly:

    • Read: Forcibly extract the immobilizer data (keys, IDs, etc.) from the original car key chip.

    • Reset: Restore a used or locked chip to a blank factory state so it can be reused.

    • Write: Write the extracted data onto a blank chip (or a rewritable chip), thereby cloning a new car key that can start the vehicle.

    With this tool, a locksmith can copy an identical key directly through reading, resetting, and writing, without connecting to the car's OBD port.

    This NXP key repair tool is only intended for unlocking vehicle owners' own keys, repairing electric leakage and PCP damage (reading chip data and writing it onto new circuit boards).     Q1: Can I use this device to clean/unlock the key?

    A: Yes,it can first read a blank key,then copy it to a key with data.

    Q3: i have to use the original key to clone by NXP killer?

    A: No, The adapter is designed according to the original PCB board,You can use an original key to clone.

    However, If the location of the aftermarket PCB is the same as the original PCB board,then they are compatible.otherside,if you know how to solder(the package includes soldering wires for the circuit board),

    then both original and aftermarket keys can be copied.

    Q4: Is extra programming needed after writing data? 

    A:No. The cloned key is ready to use immediately; the device automatically replicates all core data.

    Q5:if I have one key I can clone what about all keys lost ?

    A:This method can't be used for "all keys lost" scenarios,It is suitable for adding a spare key, provided you have either the customer's original key or an aftermarket key.

    A: Over 200 types of adapters are available for various key models.

    Q11: Can the new key and the original car key be used simultaneously?

    A: IMPORTANT: Due to key code duplication, the original and the new key cannot be used simultaneously (except for BMW BDC2/3). We recommend this as a perfect spare key solution, allowing one key to be functional at a time while the other serves as a reliable backup.

    Q12: If I read the data from the key I need to clone with nxp, can I write it directly to a locked OEM key?

    A: yes, support repeat key, even locked OEM key

    Q13:Are the copied key's functions complete?

    A:Yes. Functions like keyless entry, one-button start, and remote lock/unlock are identical to the original key.

    Q1: How do I confirm a successful read?

    A: After pressing the read button, the green light will stay on, indicating success.

    Q2: How do I confirm a successful write?
    A: After pressing the write button, the green light will stay on, indicating success.
    Q3: Why does the red light appear when reading/writing keys?
    A: The circuit board is not aligned with the adapter.
    Q4: Why does the tool not respond after the light comes on after connecting to power?

    A: The power connection is unstable and needs to be reconnected.


    3.After you use....

    Q1: can I reuse a key that has already been used on another vehicle and is locked?

    A: yes, if you have two identical keys, one unlocked and one locked, you can read the unlocked key and write it to the locked key to unlock


    Q2:If I were to clone 1:1 on my original key, will it trigger a rolling code error or will my button counter have an error if I exceed a counter Vs my original key

    A:Press it a few more times and it will return to normal. Some cars require you to put the key inside the car and start the engine once before it works.
    For some vehicles, you need to remove the battery, place it in the sensing area, and start the engine to recover it.
    The protocols are different for each type of car.

    Normally, pressing it a few more times will bring it back.


    Q3: How can I distinguish between the unlimited version and the limited version of the NXP killer? 

    A:Unlimited version (the light flashed repeatedly), and the limited version (it flashed only once).


    Q4: I used a 2018+ high-end land rover ID49 key by NXP killer and MCKB045 adapters, but my question is: would the result have been the same if I had used a low-end land rover key? Remote control opening and emergency starting? To also have the passive function, do I have to disable UWB? 

    A:Original key is high-spec; new key is low-spec: Cloning with the NXP Killer Tool is possible, but the new key will lack PEPS functionality.
    Original key is high-spec; new key is high-spec without UWB: Cloning with the NXP Killer Tool is possible, and the new key will retain PEPS functionality.

    Original key is high-spec; new key is high-spec with UWB: Cloning with the NXP Killer Tool is not possible (as the tool cannot clone UWB data), and smart functions will not work.


    Q5: If we encounter the following situation when cloning a Range Rover key using the NXP Killer and MCKB045 adapter—
    The original key stop from working while the copied one works fine, after many tries the first original key goes back to work while the second copied one stop from working. 

    A:Use the KDX4 to clone the ID: first, read the ID associated with the vehicle's lost key, then read the data from the new key; finally, write the data while inputting the lost key's ID to avoid code duplication.


    Appendix: NXP NCF29 Chip Wake-Up Operation Guide

    Before performing data read/write operations, ensure the chip has been woken up from sleep mode. This device has a built-in automatic wake-up function, requiring no manual intervention. The following is a schematic of the core principles and steps for manual wake-up, which helps in understanding the device's underlying communication logic.

    01. Confirm Chip Package Model
    By identifying the chip's pin layout, confirm its package type (14pin/32pin/24pin/38pin). The wake-up pin locations differ for different packages. Accurate model identification is the fundamental prerequisite for the wake-up operation.
    02. Trigger WAKE UP Pin Signal
    Send a valid signal (high level, pulse, or custom wake-up command) to the chip's dedicated wake-up pin. This activates the chip's internal circuitry, causing it to exit low-power sleep mode and prepare for communication.
    03. Establish Communication and Enter Operation Mode
    After wake-up, the chip automatically enters normal communication status. At this point, the device can establish a stable connection with it to execute core operations such as data reading/writing, parameter configuration, and verification, ensuring the accuracy and stability of data interaction.
