What’s the difference between master and slave tool ?
Master tool

With a master tool you get non encrypted files so you can modify the files by yourself or send it to any tuning files provider.

Any editing software that supports binary file can be used to modify a file read with Autotuner.

Slave tool

With a slave tool you read and write crypted files. These files can only be modified by a specific master. This master is a file provider designated when you buy the tool. Your slave tool is linked to this master.

Any slave tool can be remotely transformed into master tool if the following conditions are met :

Autotuner is a universal tool able to read information from most ECUs and microcontrollers available on the market in boot Tricore Infineon (BSL) or via the OBD diagnostic socket. It is delivered with all the required accessories for both BSL and OBD in a dedicated package. More than 3500 control units is supported at this moment!

The Autotuner software is regularly updated and has user friendly interface as well as the help section where you can find step-by-step instructions on how to connect to the ECU. The Autotuner special feature — no subscription! It allows to calculate its payback period. You can always be sure that your tool is up to date as new vehicles are added to the car list.

The software updates are released every month. AUTOMATIC CHECKSUM CORRECTION

Checksum correction is done automatically by the tool during the writing process. There is no need to calculate the Checksum yourself.

LIVE DATALOGGING

The Autotuner datalogging feature has been designed to be easy to use. For each supported ECU, we have pre-selected a set of relevant data depending on the vehicle and manufacturer's specific parameters.

Datalogs Method:

Real-time measurement and recording of engine parameters via OBD diagnostic socket.
The connection is made via the OBD socket, then simply start the test to record the data. You can then view the graph online.
